I was getting tired of my old ID, and had this picture stuck in my head for a while. Felt really good to get it down, though I was working on it all day and my hand will be sore for a while. Hopefully this one will actually fit on my front page.
I was surprised by the amount of fun I had doing this. It felt good to be drawing something HoT related again.
Oh, and just for the sake of explaining the characters, Spike is in the middle simply because he's the leader of the Heroes of Truth. Why he's got a microphone I'm really not sure XD
This is fun and colorful, with a good composition. It reminds me of a movie poster. Im also a real sucker for anthro musicians and singers for some reason. I want to learn more about these guys. Are the Heroes normally a band, or do they just happen to be performing in this picture?

The latter. The Heroes were originally created as the generic crime-fighting group of kids, going up to battle against their enemies, the dogs (being the HoT are mainly made up of cats). As time has progressed, a bit more depth has been added to them, like some of them (as portrayed here) took up instruments and formed their own band. About six members are in their little band (only two of them are in this picture, though) but a number of the other Heroes can sing, that among other things. It's a concept I've never really polished too much. But I have considered drawing a band picture for the heck of it, because, you're right, anthros singing are awesome.

Go HoT! This picture is awesome. I actually only recodnize two characters, the one with the dogeball and the one sitting down. I love this because it looks like a Battle of the Bands poster! So cool and it looks like you put a lot of work into this piece.
I started realizing after a while that all my little characters were like, disembodied faces. I've started to try and make a few comics. Unfortunately, only two have been made XD And characters in this picture (Except for the guy with the guitar) have cameoed in them. [link][link] Well, mostly. I draw Lere (Girl with dodgeball) the most, so people like you have just become familiar with her that way. I'm making a little cartoon thing, though, and she'll be in it.
Battle of the bands, you say? Awesome. That's what I was shooting for.

This is awesome. I remember when we used to do art trades with Lere and Mitsy. Though my new main character is Mindy and that's what I've really stuck with.
